Dear Spartan Community,
I am so excited to get started as your principal! I have been fortunate to be a Spartan since 2011, and I am honored that the Site-Based Decision Making Council selected me as the next South Warren Middle School principal. There is so much I am looking forward to as your principal, but what I am most excited about is building relationships with students, staff and families. I can’t wait to get to know you and work with you as we develop creative and engaging ways to serve our students and help them learn while expanding on the greatness that already exists.
Here’s my favorite definition of leadership: leaders make people better. I will do my best in every interaction to make a positive impact, and the staff and I will work hard every day to help our students develop leadership skills, grow academically and personally, and achieve at the highest levels. We want our students to be leaders who succeed in their academics as well as outside of academics. Often, the middle school experience is a time of significant change and challenges for our students. Our SWMS team will work together during our students’ time in middle school to engage them in learning, with a focus on developing their soft skills, leadership skills and academic skills, laser-focused on excellence. Our goal is for our middle school Spartans to enter high school ready for a seamless transition and prepared for success.
SWMS will always prioritize safety, learning and opportunities for each and every one of our students. The students and staff of SWMS have experienced an incredible amount of success in the past, and we will build on that success in the days ahead. It takes all of us working together to make our school the best it can possibly be; I look forward to working with all of you!
