Synergy Center

The WCPS Synergy Center is a warehouse facility located off Scottsville Road that supports students served by the district’s 23 Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSCs). With more than 50% of the student population identified as low-income, there is a significant need for essential items such as school supplies, toiletries, and non-perishable food. Due to limited storage space within individual school buildings, it can be challenging to collect and manage the volume of resources needed to support these programs, including initiatives that send food home with students for the weekend.

The Synergy Center addresses this challenge by providing a centralized location for storing and distributing essential items. This shared space allows FRYSC Coordinators to collaborate more effectively and respond to student needs across the district. By ensuring equitable access to resources, the Synergy Center helps support all WCPS students in a more efficient and coordinated way.
