Hi! My name is Renee Nelson. I obtained my Master's and Teaching Degree in May of 2011 from Western Kentucky University. However, I have been working in the Warren County School district since 2002. I began my teaching career at Bristow in 2013, and am proud to be a Bristow Bear. I co-teach in 6th grade reading, math and writing. I also work with small groups teaching extended reading and math, and social skills. I look forward to seeing the progress the students make throughout the school year.
Here at Bristow, we are demonstrating the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids throughout our school day. The Leader in Me program is evident in classrooms, special areas, the cafeteria. The students are learning how to incorporate the habits into their school day and at home. The BEARS expectations are also taught and displayed throughout the building:
BE RESPECTFUL
EXPECT SUCCESS
ACT RESPONSIBLY
REMAIN POSITIVE
SOLVE PROBLEMS
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. GO BEARS!
