I am from Auburn, Kentucky, which is in Logan County.  I graduated from Logan County High School in 1996 and immediately entered Western Kentucky University for my Bachelor's degree.  I have wanted to be a teacher since I was five years old, and I am so lucky to continue my career as an educator at Rich Pond in the role of guidance counselor!

As you can see below, I LOVE being a student just as much as I love being a teacher.  I have one Bachelor's degree, two Master's degrees, and National Board Certification.  I am even taking more graduate classes this fall and spring to keep up my counseling certification.

Taught 7th and 8th grade language arts at Owensboro Middle School from July 2000 until July 2010.  Taught 7th and 8th grade language arts at South Warren Middle from August of 2010 until July of 2015 and taught 7th and 8th grade language arts and writing at Drakes Creek Middle School from 2015 until 2020.
