Welcome to 7th Grade!

Hello! I'm Deidra Calvert. I teach 7th grade Language Arts on Team 7-Black.  

This year is my 11th year teaching, but my fourth year at SWMS.  I am a proud WKU graduate with a degree in Middle Grades Education. I am certified to teach both language arts and social studies to grades 5-9.  I also have a master's degree in literacy and a rank I degree in special education.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, traveling, kayaking, practicing yoga, and spending time with my family.

My goal for all of my students is to be passionate about their education.
