We woke up early on August 30, 2014 to go to the Bluegrass Railway Museum for the annual sHOw Modular Model Railroad Club excursion. When we got there, they were steaming up the Leviathan for the two trips today. We got on at 11 a.m. and left the station about 11:15. We rode in nicely refurbished heavyweight coaches. It was very hot, so the air conditioning was helpful. When we got to the reenactment site, we got off and lined up. Soon, a shot went off! Then more and more and more! WHOOOOOOOO! WHOOOOOOO! The Leviathan flew by! That’s when I got this photo. After a little while watching the reenactors, we all got back on the train and headed back to the station. Some club members chased it on a second trip. Later, we stuck around to shoot night photos. They even left the Leviathan fired it up for us. It was an action-packed day, one I will not forget!
