School Counseling Mission Statement: 

My mission as guidance counselor is to build positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and staff members. Support services will be offered and provided in areas of need.

I am excited to begin my 22nd year in education!  This will be my 10th year at Plano Elementary as guidance counselor for a total of 15 years of experience.  Prior to being a counselor, I was a classroom teacher for 6 years.  During that time, I  had the opportunity to teach student in grades 1st - 4th.  Last year, I started a new adventure  also serving as a Co-Beta Sponsor with Mrs. Gail Smith. 
 
I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at WKU.  I taught for 6 years at in Butler County. While teaching, I continued my education at Western completing my Master’s and Rank I in School Counseling K-12.  (Go Big Red!)  My counseling career that began in Butler County led me to Plano Elementary.  I am proud to say I was here the first day PLano Elementary opened its doors.  I have truly enjoyed by journey in education and the opportunity to work with so many students, parents, and school staff.
