Our 3rd District Middle School All District Band is an auditioned honor band made up of the best 100 band students in our district (approx. 13 counties).  The audition music consists of select scales, 2 or 3 prepared musical exerpts and sightreading.  (The prepared music can be obtained from Mrs. Graham.) Those who make the All-District band would then rehearse at WKU on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in early January.  The all district band concert will then take place around 2:00 p.m. on that Saturday.  (This concert would consist of all 3 all-district bands: 7/8 grade, 9/10 grade, and 11/12 grade.)

All-District Band auditions will be held on a Saturday in mid-November at a WCHS or WEHS.  (I will give the exact date & location when it becomes available to me.)  Registration tables will be set up (get in line to register as soon as you can).  Registration  will begin at 9:00a.m. and will end at 10:00 a.m. and there is a $7.00 audition fee.  No one will be registered after 10:00 a.m.  The actual auditions will begin at 9:45.  You will be given an audition ticket when you pay your registration fee.  DO NOT LOSE YOUR AUDITION TICKET!  YOU MUST PRESENT THE TICKET AT THE TIME OF YOUR AUDITION!

The results of the auditions will be made available to the band directors as soon as all students have auditioned (5:00 p.m. or later).

Each student auditioning for this honor band will be responsible for getting to and from the audition site.  You may leave after your audition.  I will stay to find out the results and you can check the home page of this website on Saturday night after 6:00 pm. (I'll post them as soon as possible!)
