In an effort to prepare students to function successfully in a rapidly changing world, Greenwood High School offers a diverse and challenging program of studies with a focus on College and Career Readiness.


Greenwood offers two diplomas, Academic and Scholastic, with each requiring a specific number of credits as well as specific classes for the different diplomas.  The Academic Diploma meets the requirements for college-prep.


AP Courses Offered

Art, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, European History, Government and Civics, Human Geography, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, Physics, Psychology, Spanish, Statistics, US History, World History


Dual Credit Classes Offered

Advanced Animal Science, College Algebra, Plant Science, Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, Spanish, Statistics, Veterinary Science


WKU Online Dual Credit Classes

Classes that are typically offered are ART 100, CHEM 101, COMM 145, ECON 150, ENG 100C , HIST 10,  HIST 102 , MATH 109C , PS 110, PSY 100 , SOCL 100


Warren County Area Technology Center

Greenwood students may also take classes at the Warren County ATC in Automotive, Construction Technology, Health Science, Robotics and Welding.


Credits Required for Grade Placement

  • Sophomore – 6 credits
  • Junior – 12 credits
  • Senior – 18 credits
  • Graduation - 26 credits
