WCPS Awarded Two Reading Grants

Reading Grant

Warren County Public Schools was one of 45 school school districts across Kentucky to receive the Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy grant to support the literacy needs of children birth through 12th grade.  WCPS received this grant for not one, but two, of its feeder systems - Warren East and Warren Central.

WCPS is eligible to receive up to $1.2 million in the next two years in this endeavor.  The goal of this grant is to develop a comprehensive approach to advance literacy in children including English Learners and those with disabilities.  WCPS is very excited for this work and expects this grant to make a tremendous impact on the children in Warren County.
