If 6th grade students were in the middle school, what would it look like? (Questions on topics such as team structure; athletics; class offerings; school schedule; etc.)
While parents and students understandably have a lot of anxiousness about what this potential change would look like in each school, these decisions will be finalized during the 2016-2017 school year. In Kentucky, site-based decision-making councils at each school play a major role in these aspects.
All of these questions will be decided upon by each school’s leadership team, and this information will be shared with all students and parents during the transition process that will take place during the Spring of 2016. The goal of this transition process is to provide a transparent and smooth transition for all 6th grade students to middle school!
