Katy Doyle, Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor
WKU: BS, Agriculture Education, 2004
WKU: MAE, Secondary Education, 2008
I grew up on a dairy farm in Warren County, KY so agriculture has always been an important part of my life. I graduated from Warren East in 2000, were I was active in FFA and several other student organizations. While at WKU, I owned and operated a greenhouse business that fully funded my undergraduate education, and developed my love for horticulture. I began my teaching career at Central Hardin high School in Elizabethtown, KY. I taught mostly horticulture classes at CHHS for six years before coming to WEHS in 2010. I am so excited to be home at WEHS and am very proud to be a Raider! I teach Greenhouse Tech, Landscaping, and Intro to Agriculture, as well as manage the school's greenhouse. I am also the advisor for our co-curricular student leadership organization, FFA. FFA is the largest youth leadership organization in the country. The FFA is a great organization full of recreational, leadership and scholarship opportunities for students. My husband Chris, a full time dairy farmer, is also a WEHS and WKU grad! We have two beautiful girls, Rachel and Emma, and are expecting our third in October. My door is always open! If you have questions or concerns about agriculture education or FFA please stop by!
