I was born and raised in Bowling Green. I attended Warren East High School and received my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Western Kentucky University.
This is my 19th year of teaching, and my fifth year at Warren East. I am teaching Spanish 1 this year. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child.
I am the Dance Little Red Sponsor which is a fundraising event (coordinated with WKU Dance Big Red) to help families with children at Norton's Children Hospital. This event is very special to me because my daughter Kailey had open heart surgery at Norton's Children's Hospital when she was nine months old. We received financial assistance because of the generous donations other people made to the hospital.
I live in Smiths Grove with my 23 year-old daughter Kailey; she is a 2016 graduate of Warren East High School and a 2019 graduate of Western Kentucky University. Kailey is currently enrolled in the Master Entry Professional Nursing graduate program at Western Kentucky University. She makes me proud every day.
I enjoy spending time with her as well as the rest of my family who all live in Bowling Green. When I am not at school or school functions, I also enjoy shopping, going to movies and concerts, listening to music, playing games, hanging out with friends, and traveling. One thing you must know about me is I value the people in my life. Relationships with my family, friends, co-workers and students are very important to me. I will always do my best to make sure your student feels my classroom is a place he or she can be accepted, appreciated and cared for every day.
I hope to have a wonderful year of learning and fun. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime. I want two way communication between us at all times. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with your child! Thank you for supporting your child's education!
