Principal Message

Last week was another great one at Jennings Creek Elementary. Our students, faculty, and staff are all working tremendously hard to ensure that our students are having positive learning experiences every day. Congratulations to Ms. Taylor's class on receiving $1,000 from WKU Sports and the CFP Extra Yard Initiative. Ms. Taylor plans on using this money to purchase resources to extend the learning of students in her classroom. Shoutout to Ms. Oliver and Ms. Woods for organizing our first Leadership Luncheon of the year. In addition, JCES would like to thank Julie Milam, station manager of WNKY News, and Chris Thorn, CEO of Graves and Gilbert for coming to speak with our September leaders. Next week we will celebrate our September leaders one last time during our Celebrate Leaders Assembly on Friday. We are lucky to have so many great student leaders at JCES. Last week, we also had dress-up days (see images below) for WCHS' homecoming week and the WCHS Dragons Football Team. Congratulations to those that won homecoming, and a big shoutout to the WCHS Football Team on their third win of the season.

Vision and hearing screenings will take place at JCES on Thursday. That evening the Bowling Green/Warren County Disaster Recovery group will host another Tornado Recovery event. This event will take place at the SOKY Marketplace (636 Center St.) from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. JCES hosted the first of two Tornado Recover events last week (September 22nd). There was a great turnout, and the event was a huge success!

Please remember that we do not allow outside food/drink in the building at any time. If you come to eat lunch with your child, then what they eat needs to be in their lunch box (at school) or school lunch. We appreciate your understanding as we want to take every precaution to keep our students safe and healthy. Lastly, please make sure that your contact information is updated in Infinite Campus Parent Portal, and/or communicated with the front office if your contact information or address ever changes.
