Welcome to 6th grade! This is my third year teaching at Jody Richards, and I am honored to be apart of the Jody Richards team!
During my studies at WKU, I studied Elementary Education and enjoyed a minor in music with vocal and instrumental disciplines. While in college, I received a research grant that allowed me to conduct studies for integrating art and instructional content. I was able to complete this study while co-teaching in Ecuador and Cuba. I enjoy making connections with international schools, and learning about multiple methods to teach. I enjoy using real-world scenerios and creativity in class so students will be able to see a usefulness for the math they learn.
Along with teaching 6th grade math, I enjoy traveling, kayaking, playing violin, and reading. I also have a sheltie/jackrussel mix dog, Zivah, who loves to run at the park.
I am looking forward to another amazing year at Jody Richards!
