This is my fourth year at Rockfield, I have taught second grade for the past 11 years. I'm SUPER excited to be moving across the building to fourth grade and look forward to an exciting year of learning and fun! I received my bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University in 2001 and my master's degree with a reading and writing endorsement from WKU in 2006. In 2009 I earned my National Boards Certification and received my Rank I. I consider myself a life-long learner and want to instill the love of learning in my students. I am always looking for ways to grow, both personally and professionally!
I have three daughters who mean the world to me! My time outside of school is consumed by them as we enjoy many activities including, biking, swimming, softball, reading, playing board games, and watching movies. Our favorite movie right now has to be "Divergent." but all the Disney and PIXAR movies are great too. I enjoy watching and playing just about any sport and enjoyed playing both softball and basketball.
If you ever need me, PLEASE do not hesitate to call, email, or we can arrange a meeting. I ENCOURAGE parents to come to our room. YOU are your child's greatest asset! We would love to have volunteers come and learn with us. We would love to read with you or practice our math skills!.
