My name is Ellaine Thornberry and this is my 19th year of teaching in Warren County, and 24th year total. This is my first year at JCES and I'm loving it already! Prior to joining the JCES Family, I taught at Rockfield for 18 years. Before moving to Bowling Green in 2001, I taught in Edgerton, Wisconsin for 5 years. I grew up in Elwood, Indiana and received my bachelor's degree from Ball State University. While living in Wisconsin, I obtained my master's degree from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
I've been married to my wonderful husband, Mark, for 24 years. Mark is a senior electrical engineer at the Corvette Plant. We have an amazing 20 year old son, Noah, who is a Rockfield, Moss, and Warren Central Alumni. He is now a junior at the University of the Cumberlands, where he is a double major in accounting and business, played college baseball for two years, and has obtained his Kentucky Real Estate license. I have three sweet fur-princesses, Connelly (Labradoodle), Maizey (Wirehaired Pointing Griffon), and Nicky (a mixed breed rescue).
I'm a member of Crossland Community Church, where I am active in the Women's Ministry and the Fortify Youth Group. My hobbies include traveling, shopping, boating, and watching Noah play baseball. Baseball is my favorite sport, and the New York Yankees are my favorite team. My other favorite sports teams are the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and the Nashville Predators. This summer, our family has taken up playing golf. That has been super fun!
I love music and The Beatles are my all-time favorite group!
