Contact Info: name is Judy Thomas and I am one of the two PreK Teachers at Richardsville Elementary School.    I have been blessed with the privilege of getting to work with Richardsville's youngest scholars and their families for the past 23 years.  The many rich experiences over the years has brought much added joy to my life.  I can't fully articulate the joy in seeing the children flourish while in preschool, watching them grow throughout their elementary years, seeing them graduate and then become amazing adults.  I've even reached the point in my teaching career that I am beginning to have students of former students...that is such a treat!  It goes without saying....I love what I have been blessed to do!

Here's a little information about me....I am a native of Warren County.  I attended Bristow Elementary School and graduated from Warren East High School.   I have two children, a son (soon to be 21) and daughter (soon to be 16).  They are the highlights of my reason why!  We have a couple of furry friends at our home as well...a dog named Baleigh and a cat named Ms. Kitty.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Rank I in general education.  I began my teaching career in August 1994 as a Special Education Teacher working with children with moderate to severe disabilities in Barren County.  I left there to work in the First Steps Program serving children birth to three years of age with developmental delays.  Though I loved working with First Steps, Preschool offered me the best of both worlds....getting to work with young children with and without disabilities.   Over the years, many people have said to me  "I could NEVER do what you do."  My reply to them years ago and still to this day has always been  "I couldn't imagine doing anything else!"  Young children and people with special needs are my passion.

As a parent, you are your child's most important teacher!  Together we will help your child develop a love of learning!   I value your thoughts, opinions and suggestions.   If you ever have any questions, concerns or suggestions please feel free to contact me.
