Growing up with a mother who worked in education, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. It wasn't until high school, however, that I realized what subject I would want to teach. During my junior and senior years at Muhlenberg County High School, I fell in love with Family & Consumer Sciences. The idea that I was able to obtain knowledge and skills that I would be able to take with me throughout my entire life made me want to do the same for future students. I may be biased, but I think being a Family & Consumer Sciences teacher is the most fun, rewarding job there is.
I grew up an hour northwest of Bowling Green in the small town of Greenville, Kentucky. I have always loved the serenity and closeness that comes with living in a small town, but after attending WKU, I knew Bowling Green would be calling me back one day. I am so excited to be back in BG, and am even more excited about being part of the Spartan family.
I graduated from Western Kentucky University with my Bachelor's Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences, with a concentration in Family & Consumer Sciences Education. The 2020-2021 school year will be my first full-year teaching, and I am excited to learn and grow with my students. Go Spartans!
