Tanya Escobar:

South Warren High School holds a special place in my heart because it is my alma mater!  Returning as a teacher is such a blessing, and I incredibly excited to start my teaching journey at South Warren High School.

As the first person in my family to go to college, I love sharing with others the fact that I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and a concentration in Education.  After I graduated from WKU, I was a substitute teacher in the Warren County Public Schools high schools.  Last year, I completed my first year of teaching at Warren East High School, and it was an amazing experience.

I now look forward to being a SWHS Spartan, again!

Dear parents and students,

I truly hope this message finds you well. I know we are all unsure of what the future holds for us. However, I am hopeful if we handle everything calmly and graciously, we will be just fine.

With so much going on in our lives, I wanted to take a quick second of your time to inform you of the NTI process for my Spanish I and Spanish II students. On March 18, 2020, I asked my students to complete a survey regarding the instruction I provided to them March 16-18. Due to positive feedback gathered from that survey, I am highly confident my students appreciate and approve the system we have been using, thus far.

This system consists of instructing the students to complete daily assignments. I favor assigning the students daily tasks rather than a full week(s) of work because it is how we, as a class, would normally complete our class objectives. With this stated, every morning at 7:30 a.m., students are assigned their daily task(s) on Google Classroom. The task(s) are due 12 hours after the time they are posted, which means they are due at 7:30 pm the same day it is posted. If you have any concerns about meeting this deadline, please let me know and I willI will grant grace and work with you; however, I still expect my students to complete their work as they would in the classroom.

If you would like to receive the daily assignments, announcements, or messages I send to students via Google Classroom and Remind, I have provided the class codes below for you to join our class.
