Welcome to Sparta!
My name is Brandy Houchens and I began teaching at SWHS in 2014. I love being a Spartan! Go Spartans! I am more than excited to be a part of the Family and Consumer Sciences team at SWHS. I teach the Fashion & Interior Design and Consumer & Family Management career pathways. Becoming a teacher has always been my goal and being able to do it in this astonishing school with such great kids is truly a dream!
My website contains information for each class including general resources and helpful websites. For online assignments, important announcements, daily assignments, or in case of an absence, students can find this information on google classroom. Students and parents/guardians should also monitor student progress on Infinite Campus.
Grades: Always check Infinite Campus for a grades or any missing assignments. https://infinitecampus.warren.kyschools.us/campus/portal/warren.jsp If an unsubmitted assignment is marked as "Missing", I will still accept it. If an unsubmitted assignment is marked as a "0", the assignment is too late to be submitted. If it is blank or marked "Turned In", this means that I have not yet graded the assignment, but that it has been turned in. If an assignment is marked as "Incomplete", this means that only a portion of the assignment was completed. Please contact me to see if it is still within a reasonable time frame to accept the missing portion of the assignment.
