Mrs. Samantha Skipper, FCS Educator
I have always loved to cook and help others. As a child, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, but continuously changed my mind on the subject I wanted to teach, until I discovered my love of Family and Consumer Sciences. I think I have the coolest job around because I get to teach people to cook and share my passion for hospitality and caterings. My favorite part of my job is hearing students tell me they made a meal at home for their family after learning to cook in my class.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Western Kentucky University and a Master's degree in Teacher Leadership from The University of the Cumberlands. I recently finished my National Board Certification in Recreation and Tourism. The 2019-2020 school year will be my sixth year teaching Family and Consumer Sciences. I am looking forward to a new year with my fellow Spartans!
Information about NTI Days
Students in my classes are using Google Classroom to complete assignments for NTI Days. Students have options of assignments to complete for each day, and must turn their assignments in for the week by Friday night at 11:59pm. Students can reach me by email at email@example.com or by sending me a private comment/message on assignments in google classroom. I am updating grades in Infinite Campus each week and providing feedback on assignments. Should students or parents/guardians have questions or concerns with assignments or need assistance, either may contact me! Google classroom codes are as follows:
