Hello! My name is Paula Renner, and I am so excited to be a part of Rich Pond Elementary's 3rd grade team for the fifth consecutive year! Get ready for a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures!
I graduated as salutatorian from Hart County High School and attended Western Kentucky University - Go TOPS! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Library Media Education.
This is my 17th year as an educator! I began my teaching career in Barren County at Hiseville Elementary in 2006 and moved to North Jackson Elementary in 2011. My children and I moved to Bowling Green in the summer of 2018 and became Rich Pond Bulldogs in January 2019!
I am married to a wonderful man, Ron. He is an Air Force Veteran and a retired Captain of the Bowling Green Fire Department. I have four children: a son, Brody, who is in 8th grade and a daughter, Bree, who is in 7th grade. They both attend South Warren Middle School. I also have two stepdaughters: Addy, a 5th grader at Rich Pond; and Rory, a senior at Barren County High School. I love being a wife and mother! My family takes up most of my free time (and I wouldn’t have it any other way), but I also enjoy reading, listening to music, hiking, traveling, and playing with our dog, an adorable golden doodle named Ruby.
I often tell my husband how lucky I am to have a career that I absolutely love! I love teaching and working with kids every day. I hope my passion and love of learning helps your child develop a life-long love for learning too. Once a child has been in my classroom, I will forever consider him/her as one of “my kids.”
