Welcome to the Library!
Mrs. Posey
Hello! My name is Kim Posey and I am very excited to be in my eighth year as Librarian at Rich Pond Elementary. This will be my 25th year in the Warren County Public School System. Throughout my years, I have 12 years experience teaching 4th grade, four years teaching third grade, and one year teaching a 1st/2nd split. I graduated in 1993 from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration. I then returned to WKU and earned another Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1996. In 2002, I completed my Master of Science in Library Science, and in 2018 I received my Rank 1 as a Literacy Specialist.
I am very blessed to be part of Rich Pond Elementary. The students and families here are the best! Each year, I continue to be amazed at the effort put forth by the children, and the support I continuously receive from parents. My goal is to provide an environment conductive to learning for all students. When parents, teachers and students all work together, success in inevitable! I appreciate all you do! I love being a teacher, and I thank you for sharing your precious children with me.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 28 years. We have one son, Owen, who is a graduate of WKU and current employee at the university. They both keep me smiling, along with our new kitten, Luna!
