Hello! My name is Amy Spears, and this is my ninth year at South Warren! I work with both the middle school and high school bands at South Warren along with Mr. Cecil. Before coming to South Warren, I attended WKU where I received both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Education and Conducting - Music Education respectively. While pursuing my Master's Degree, I was a Graduate Assistant for the WKU Band program. I loved my time at WKU, and I am a die-hard Hilltopper fan!
I really enjoy teaching here at South Warren! I grew up here in Bowling Green, and I love teaching in my hometown. Through music, I have so many memories and met so many people that are very dear to me, and I can't imagine my life without them. I truly believe that, in the endeavor to learn a musical instrument, we also learn to be better people, and I hope to pass that along to my students like many great teachers have for me. There is no greater privilege than being able to share the joy of music-making with young people, and I am thankful for this opportunity every day. Proud to be a South Warren Spartan!
