Hello! Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Lisa Flynn, and I am teaching fifth grade at Natcher. Specifically, I have the Reading rotation of fifth grade, plus my homeroom, which includes Language Arts and Science as well. This is my eighth year at Natcher, and my 17th year of teaching overall. Prior to Natcher, I taught at Rich Pond and Cumberland Trace. Before that, I was an elementary and middle school teacher in Illinois for six years. I'm looking forward to the exciting possibilities this year holds!
When I'm not at school, I spend my time at home with my husband Doug, my daughter, who is a senior in high school this year, and my son, who is a freshman. I also call a Golden Retriever named Crystal, and three cats/kittens part of my family as well. We usually do not have a dull moment in our house!
I love to read, write letters (the "old-fashioned" way--by sending them U.S. mail), spend time with friends, catch up on Star Wars trivia, and go to Hot Rods games. My son is a Third Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, loves basketball, and competes in dirt bike competitions. My daughter is involved in dance, is a former TKD student herself, and is on the GHS Tennis Team, so those activities are a part of my interests as well, since I'm living those moments with my children!
Have a great year and let me know if I can help you in any way! The best way to reach me is through the school email: email@example.com. However, you can also call the school and leave a message.
