Hi, Natcher Friends!
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about me. I grew up in Franklin, Kentucky and graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I went to college at Western Kentucky University where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Last year I earned an ESL endorsement from the University of the Cumberlands.
Before coming to Natcher, I spent 16 years at Lincoln Elementary School in Franklin where I taught both 4th and 5th grades. I taught third grade at Natcher five years, including one year virtually. This year my journey as a teacher is taking me on a new adventure as an ESL teacher! I am excited to watch my students grow their English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
I live in Bowling Green with my husband Noble, daughter Kaitlin, and son Christian. Kaitlin attends WKU and is majoring in social work. Christian will be a senior in high school this year. We have two graduations to look forward to next year. I also have a stepson, Brad. Brad and his wife, Amber, live in Tennessee with our precious granddaughter, Brenlyn. We also have a sweet maltipoo named Reagan.
When I'm not at school my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family! I also enjoy reading, solving puzzles, coloring pictures, and learning how to do new things with technology. I love to travel, try new things, and eat at different restaurants.
Teaching is truly my passion. I can't wait to get to know my students this year. Every day is a great day to be Jaguar! 💙 🧡
