About Us


Lost River accommodates nearly 800 students from preschool to sixth grade.

Nearly 250 students are English Learners, representing 20 countries and 20 languages.

Our curriculum is aligned with the Common Core in all areas. We have several programs to meet the needs of students including AR, Title 1, RtI, and English as a Second Language.

We have formed a performing arts club, archery club, agriculture club, Beta club, STLP, and have a fully equipped keyboard lab to teach instrumental music.  We also offer band to our sixth grade students.

Lost River has partnered with KYCID to improve its discipline plan to emphasize positive, proactive approaches including rewards and incentives.  We are a PBIS school

Lost River is a Leader in Me school.  We strive to live by the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  We have a Watch D.O.G.S. programs for fathers to volunteer in school.  Parent involvement is recognized as a key for highly effective schools.  We are constantly striving to engage families in their children's education.

We celebrate our diversity with our annual International Night.

The school hosts an annual International Night that draws 100s
