My name is Ms. Heather DeHaven Crnkic. I am so excited to work another wonderful year! I have lots of fun and exciting activities planned for my students to ensure learning!
I graduated from Central Hardin High School in 2004. In 2010, I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. During this time, I completed my student teaching at North Warren working alongside, my former team teacher, Mrs. Marcy Robinson. Part of my student teaching was spent overseas in Barcelona, Spain. Both experiences have helped me become the teacher that I am today. I love working for Warren County Schools. I couldn’t ask for a better place to teach than here.
I grew up in small rural town in Kentucky that is much like Smiths Grove, called Glendale. There I found my true love for teaching through my work at church. In the Glendale area, I have a loving family that has supported me in my teaching journey. Both of my parents, Paul and Donna, still live and work in the Glendale area. My older brother and his family, Bart, Johnna, and Payne, are another part of my life that love and support me. There are two others that are a big part of my life and support team in Bowling Green; they are my dog, Annie and my boyfriend, Dino. I spend lots of my free time with these two, watching movies and kayaking.
Thoughts for this year:
I have many goals in life, but my main goal is to be the best teacher I can be for my students. I take my job very seriously and I am committed to do everything in my power to make this a successful year for my students. My student's safety, education, and well-being are of great importance to me. I would ask for parents and guardians partnership and cooperation in the learning process do that together we build a system for success.
