Hi, my name is Manuela Pegues "Mrs. Ella", and I have been teaching at Bristow since August 2021.
I was born and raised in Germany and already knew by age 13, that I wanted to be a Preschool teacher.
After receiving my diploma as an Early Childhood Educator in Germany, I went for my Bachelor's in Special Education at the Teacher Academy in Vienna, Austria.
I moved to the United States in 2007 and I am currently holding a KY teaching license in Special Education and IECE. Also, I am working on my MAE in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE).
When I am not planning the next big project for my class, I am taking pictures, baking bread and spending time with my sons Ben and Leon.
My experience teaching children from different cultures and backgrounds has shown me that early exposure to qualitative education is the key to a child's success. I am excited that in the 2022/23 school year all enrolled WCPS Pre-K students will attend school 4 days a week.
I can't wait to see what the future holds and am excited to meet all my little ones.
