This week is National School Breakfast Week. One of the things our cafeteria will be featuring is a make your own parfait bar. Students who eat breakfast will be entered in a drawing for gift cards and a grand prize of a Fitbit flex!

Spirit Shop / Meeting / Fund Raiser ...
Recently, we've had a large number of absences due to sickness. To help combat illness that is going around, we are asking parents to bring in Clorox wipes to help disinfect our school and prevent more students from becoming sick.

Congrats to Chidinma Igbokwe, an 8th grader at Drakes Creek Middle School! She will represent Warren County at the Kentucky Derby Festival Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 11 at the Bomhard Theater, Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Drakes Creek once again had the winning middle school essay for the district Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. Each year we publish the winning essay in our newsletter.
This year we want to congratulate a 7th grader, Arivumani Srivastava, for his winning essay "The Human Palette."

Talent Show Fundraiser auditions will be happening September 27th 2:20-4:00 P.M. in the choir room.
Talent Show dress rehearsal will be October 14th for participants at 2:30-4:00 P.M. in the choir room.
The Talent Show will happen Monday, October 17th at 6:00 P.M. in the gym. Adult admission is $5, student admission is $3, and children 4 and under are free! (Participants and choir members receive free admission)
