More Information (Directions)
Rich Pond Elementary School will be collecting pull tabs from soft drink and aluminum cans as a way to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of Lexington.
Since January, students have been collecting tabs in an effort to raise about 65 cents per pound. Anna Clardy, guidance counselor of the school, said the students collected more than 50 pounds during the first month alone.
The next collection will take place onFeb. 29 and will continue the last day of each month for the rest of the school year.
The Ronald McDonald charities provide a "home away from home" for traveling families to stay close while their child undergoes hospital treatment at little or no cost. The houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
Rich Pond is proud to support an organiztion that helps kids and their families.
Thank you for your support.
