Welcome to my webpage. I am an Assistant Principal and I oversee the Freshman Class. I have been at Greenwood since 1997. I love Greenwood and was a guidance counselor for 12 years before becoming an Assistant Principal.
I am married to Coach Matt Logic. He taught and coached at BGHS for 29 years. He retired this past February after 31 years of teaching and coaching. We have been married for 26 years and we have two beautiful children, Hannah and Garrick. Hannah and Garrick have roamed the halls of Greenwood since they were infants. They love Greenwood too!
My undergraduate degree was in Psychology/Health/ and Athletic Coaching. I have a Masters in Community Agency Counseling and in School Counseling. I have a Rank I in Counseling and a certification in administration.
I have lived most of my life in Warren County. My parents are Addie and Richard Carlson. I have been raised to value education and my community. I am a graduate of Warren Central and was on the 1983 State Championship Girl's basketball team. I went to WKU on an athletic scholarship and participated in two, back-to-back, Final Fours and a Final Sixteen. Basketball has been very good to me. I have met lots of wonderful people and traveled to many beautiful places. After I finished WKU, I played basketball overseas and lived in Finland and France.
While basketball was wonderful to me, my education is what qualified me to be a teacher, counselor, and administrator. A sport's career can only take you so far; after injuries and age set in, one MUST have something to fall back on. Education is the KEY to a SUCCESSFUL and LONG LASTING career.
I pride myself on being a daughter, sister, wife, mother, Christian, and an educator. I am committed to all of these things! I look forward to working collaboratively with you. I truly believe a child can NEVER have too many people involved in his/her life. I will do everything within my power to help your student be successful at Greenwood. I hope you will stay in constant contact with your student's teachers. Usually, email is the easiest and quickest way to communicate with us. I can be reached at email@example.com
My phone number is 842-3627 or 781-0914. However, it is always easier to reach me via email. I have an open door policy and I ALWAYS welcome parents and students to stop by and visit. If you are stopping by without an appointment, please call ahead to ensure I am available. Situations in the building may have me tied up and I may not be available if you just stop by without an appointment.
I am committed to you, your student, our teachers, our school and to our administration staff. I look forward to serving you. Please review our cell phone policy, dress code policy, and our attendance/tardy policy (I have attached them on my website for your convenience). These are the main discipline infractions I see with many of my 9th graders. Thanks for your help in combating these issues before they become discipline referrals.
