~GREAT THINGS TODAY, GREATER THINGS TOMORROW~

Welcome to my 3rd grade classroom.  My name is Mrs. Amber Rose, and I will be your child’s teacher for the upcoming school year.  I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and received my Masters of Arts in Education from there as well.   This will be my ninth year teaching 3rd grade here at Alvaton Elementary.

This should be a very exciting school year.  We will be learning a lot of new information and will have extra emphasis on reading, math, writing, and science as well as putting together a mock portfolio.  As a Lighthouse School we will contiunue to emphasize the Leader in Me and seven habits.  Encourage your students to implement them in school as well as at home. This is a very transitional year for students, and I hope to make it as smooth as possible.

Children will need to bring their folders, agendas and Leadership notebooks home each day for communication and homework, as well as have their agendas signed each night.  Announcements, graded material and important information will also be in the folder, and you may send notes to me through them if necessary.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at anytime.  The school number is 843-8067.  My personal phone number is 270-234-6634.  My email is amber.rose@warren.kyschools.us.  I am looking forward to the school year, and know that together we will make it GREAT!
