Mrs. Debra LaSala, was announced as the new principal of North Warren Elementary School during a site based decision-making council meeting on June 17, 2017 at the Warren County Board of Education. Mrs. LaSala has served the students of Warren County in many capacities for nearly twenty years. She came to the district in 2003 as a teacher at North Warren Elementary School. From there, Mrs. LaSala taught at Plano Elementary School and later served as Curriculum Coordinator at Oakland Elementary and most recently, as Dean of Students at Rich Pond Elementary.
“North Warren has a long-standing tradition of excellence and former principal Amy Ground provided tremendous consistency and continuity during the past seventeen years,” stated Superintendent Rob Clayton. “As one of Warren County’s original high schools, it has been a vital part of the Smiths Grove Community for decades and continues to provide high-quality educational opportunities for our students as one of the district’s four Schools of Distinction. I am confident that Mrs. LaSala’s proven leadership in a variety of roles within our district will enable North Warren students and teachers to continue building upon their current success. I have tremendous confidence in her ability to ensure continuous improvement in student achievement and student opportunities and I feel fortunate to have her serve as the next principal of North Warren Elementary.
Mrs. LaSala will have an opportunity to meet the students and families of North Warren Elementary School at an Open House on August 1, 2017 at 4:30 pm.
