Greenwood Students Raise Money For Children's Hospital

On Friday, March 10, 2017 Greenwood High School partnered with WKU's Dance Big Red as the first high school to host Dance Little Red – a three hour dance fundraiser benefiting Children’s Hospital Foundation (supporting Norton Children’s Hospital and its sister facilities).  The overall goal was for Greenwood to raise $5,000 towards WKU's goal of $50,000.  After three hours of dancing, games, and listening to Norton families share their stories, the Gators revealed their grand total of $5,573!  The 2017 Dance Little Red earnings will be donated to support pediatric cardiology and oncology programs at Norton Children’s Hospital.

The Gators will be competing with Bowling Green's Purples to win WKU's traveling trophy for the high school that raises the most.  The winning high school trophy will be presented at Dance Big Red, WKU's 12 hour dance fundraiser, on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Thank you to everyone that played a role in the success of this year's event!  Special thank you to the dancers, for staying on their feet for three hours, in support of all the past, present, and future patients at Norton Children’s Hospital!  If anyone would like to contribute to the cause, checks can be made payable to Children's Hospital Foundation and delivered to Natalie Dyer at Greenwood High School.
