The Warren County Public Schools Preschool Program serves 3-4 year old children from all 14 elementary schools who meet eligibility criteria. The goal of our program is to empower each student to communicate effectively, make responsible choices, develop critical thinking skills and solve problems in preparation for kindergarten and school success.
Each of our sites has received a 5 Star Rating through the Kentucky All STARS Quality Rating System and WCPS was recognized as the first 5 Star District in the state. Five of our classrooms have earned distinction as a Classroom of Excellence, the highest honor that can be awarded to a preschool classroom. All of our preschool teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education and Special Education are dedicated to providing students with a safe, comfortable learning environment where they are challenged through a rigorous, standards based curriuclum which promotes learning through exploration and play.
Through collaboration with the United Way, the Community Early Childhood Council, and the KY Governor's Office of Early Childhood, we are able to extend our reach to meet the needs of even more children and families. Programs supported by these collaborations include Born Learning Academies, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Community Early Learning Fair, and our Preschool Partnership Grant with The Foundry.
