Cumberland Trace Elementary’s Fall Festival is almost here! Doors will open on September 15 at 5:15 pm. Games, face painting, concessions, the silent auction and book fair will officially open at 5:30 pm. The silent auction will close at 7:00 pm and the rest of the festival will end at 7:30 pm.
Much of the money raised goes to reimburse teachers for classroom expenses. The PTA plans to reimburse each teacher up to $250 for purchases made to enrich their classrooms. We need lots of help to make the festival a success again this year!
Silent auction will include items donated from community businesses. If you have a business that is interested in donating items for auction or purchasing a popcorn, ice cream or pizza party for auction please contact Natalie Hughson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Cake Walk and Ring Toss are always popular games! For the Cake Walk we need donations including small cakes, pies, containers of 4-6 cupcakes, containers of 6-12 cookies, sweet breads or breakfast desserts. For the Ring Toss game we need 2 liters of soda or juice. These donations will be accepted on the day of the festival. We will have volunteers helping in the car rider line to accept items or these can be dropped off in the front office prior to the end of the school day.
Wristbands and tickets will be available for pre-sale every morning the week of Fall Festival from 8:00-8:30 am. Wristbands are pre-sale only and are not available the night of the festival. Each wristband is $12 and will include 1 time face painting or temporary tattoo, putty ball, grab bag, Rock Out Bowling Green, claw game and Jump Air Zone booth. Also 3 tries at all other games. Exclusions from the wristband that will require tickets are Princess Makeover and concessions. Tickets bought during the festival are 5 for $2.50 or 10 for $5.00. Pre-sale tickets are discounted to 5 for $2.25 or 10 for $4.50.
Kiss the Pig will also be open for voting each morning from 8:00-8:30 am the week of Fall Festival. Students can bring in money including change to vote for a teacher to kiss the piglet during morning meeting on Friday, September 15. In addition, for $10 your 6th grader can kiss the pig during the meeting.
With all of these activities we need some help during the week of the festival. Please sign up online (http://signup.com/go/diNRDKr) if you are able to donate cakes, 2 liters or your time. Sign up looks a bit different this year and the majority of the items are under Friday, September 15. For questions, please contact Emily Castelli (email@example.com)
