CTE welcomes a new Dean of Students

Mr. Scott Jones

I am excited to meet the wonderful students and families of Cumberland Trace Elementary.  I grew up in Oldham County, Ky, and was a member of the first graduating class of South Oldham High School in 1990.  Initially, I attended the University of Kentucky - GO CATS! and transferred to Western Kentucky University - GO TOPS! After graduating from WKU, I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education followed by my Rank I in Education Administration.  My teaching career began at EB Terry Elementary in the Fall of 1996 as an instructional assistant, then as a 5th grade teacher in 1997.  I taught 5th grade, 4th grade, and even Kindergarten while at EB Terry.  In January of 2005, I began my administration career as Assistant Principal at Glasgow Middle School and became principal of Glasgow Middle School in 2011.

My wife, Melody, and I live in Glasgow and have 3 kids - Cody (a junior at Campbellsville University), Caleb (a junior at Glasgow High School), and Lilly (a 7th grader at Barren County Middle School).  We enjoy getting out on Barren River Lake as often as possible.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of our CTE Tigers!
