The U. S. Department of Education (USED) named four Kentucky public schools as 2017 National Blue Ribbon Schools, based on their overall academic excellence, and Warren County Public Schools' Rich Pond Elementary was among them.

Dallas Butts and Dan Costellow joined representatives from across the country at a recognition ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 6-7, 2017.

More information on the program and a list of past Kentucky winners are available here.
