2015 Matt Rzepka Scholarship Award

Monday, December 14 marked the fourteenth time that Cumberland Trace students have been awarded the Matt Rzepka scholarship.  The award was first presented in December 2004.  Matt Rzepka was a young man that loved working with students in the Cumberland Trace after school program and died in a tragic accident in 2002.  His parents began the scholarship program to inspire young learners to reach their dreams through a college scholarship.  The scholarship fund has raised over $90,000 and given away 77 scholarships.  This year 6 students were chosen to receive a $2,000 scholarship.  All of these students wrote an essay describing how a college scholarship would help them achieve their dreams.  Congratulations to this year's winners:   Sam Sanders, Raegan Jones, Jax Buchanon, Kinley Smith, Sophia Koppensteiner, and James Croslin.
